1.GENERAL INFORMATION
The main aim of Master Programme on Classroom Teaching is providing postgraduate opportunities to classroom teachers yet there is no doctorate degree programme. There are different study areas in relation to primary education in this department: ‘Learning and Teaching Theories’, ‘Teaching Thinking’, ‘Human Rights and Democratic Education’, ‘Turkish Education System’, ‘Classroom Management’, ‘Problems of Primary Education’, ‘Guidance and Counselling in Primary Education’, ‘New Trends in Elementary Social Studies’, ‘Co-operative Learning’, ‘Alternative Educational Views’, ‘Critical Thinking’, ‘Creativity’, ‘Drama in Education’, ‘Multible Intelligence Theory’, ‘Teaching Science’, ‘Teaching Turkish’, ‘Teaching Humanities and Social Science’, ‘Teaching Mathematics’, ‘Teaching in Integrated Classroom, ‘Teachers’ Stress and Burn Out’, ‘Ability Grouping’, ‘Parent-child Relationship’.
There are 1 associate profosers and 7 assistant profoser; 18 lecturer and 5 research assistant employed in this department.
2. Educatıon Programme
Master program on Classroom Teaching can be completed in four semester. Students, who wish to complete this program, have to take eight module; three of these eight modules are compulsory. The master program will consist 24 credit (48 ECTS). First two semester students have to take modules and the last two semester students have to work on their theses.
The modules will be assessed with number grade system in which 4 is the highest grade. The following demonstration will explain which letters equivalent to which grade: FF=0.00, FD=0.50, DD=1.00, DC=1.50, CC=2.00, CB=2.50, BB=3.00, BA=3.50, AA=4.00.
In order to complete module students will be expected to get at least CC. For successful completion of all modules will reguired mean grade that is BB for all students.
In order to get master degree award students will be expected to present their theses proposal and their theses after successful completion of modules in indicated time limits.
